Confidential Consultations for Victims of Sexual Assault

At Injury Lawyer Team, we stand with individuals affected by the Dr. Babak Hajhosseini sexual abuse scandal, offering a confidential, supportive space to explore legal options and begin the process of seeking justice.

We understand how traumatic sexual abuse can be, especially when it involves a trusted medical professional in Beverly Hills or the greater Los Angeles area. You’re not alone, and we believe in your case. Our law firm is here to listen, answer your questions, and guide you through the legal system with care, discretion, and an experienced, survivor-focused approach through a confidential consultation.

Sexual Assault Allegations Against Beverly Hills Doctor, Babak Hajhosseini

When we talk with survivors who are raising sexual abuse claims against Dr. Babak Hajhosseini, we start by walking them through what we know so far. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Beverly Hills doctor Babak Hajhosseini, 42, has been charged with more than two felony counts after allegedly sexually abusing a female employee in Los Angeles.

Dr. Hajhosseini is the founder, president, and CEO of Wound and Burn Centers of America, a Beverly Hills–based practice, and he has also worked as a visiting specialist at Catalina Island Health and practiced in Northern California and New York.

According to the District Attorney’s news release and subsequent coverage, Dr. Hajhosseini is charged with multiple counts of felony, including:

  • Two counts of rape by use of drugs
  • One count of rape of an unconscious or asleep person
  • One count of oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance
  • Three counts of oral copulation of an unconscious or asleep person
  • One count of sodomy of an unconscious person

Prosecutors allege that Hajhosseini pressured, drugged, and sexually abused an unconscious person at his Los Angeles residence, and that the incident involved a female employee who had been working for him. Some outlets report that the encounter was allegedly recorded on video.

It is important to emphasize that these multiple charges are criminal and civil allegations, not findings of guilt. Dr. Hajhosseini has pleaded not guilty and, through his criminal defense lawyers, has denied the accusations and claimed there is “extensive evidence” to support his innocence.

Los Angeles Police Department Arrest and Investigation

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) plays a central role in this case. Reports indicate that:

  • LAPD detectives arrested Dr. Hajhosseini on November 26, 2024, on suspicion of sexually assaulting an unconscious person.
  • Reports also indicate that Hajhosseini voluntarily met with investigators prior to his formal arrest.
  • He was later released on bail (reported at over $2 million) while the case proceeds.
  • A grand jury indictment followed on December 27, 2024, leading to the current eight felony counts.

Investigators with the LAPD have publicly alleged that Hajhosseini used job recruitment websites and job sites to find potential victims, posting high-paying job opportunities and then allegedly pressuring certain workers to work overtime at his home.

In at least one incident, police say he pressured a female employee to drink alcohol at his residence, allegedly drugging her as well. After she lost consciousness, he allegedly sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious or asleep and recorded the assault.

While Dr. Hajhosseini is already facing multiple charges, LAPD has stated that the case remains under investigation and that their Sex Crimes Division is working to bring justice for the victim while continuing to gather evidence and speak with other potential witnesses.

Additional Victims Urged to Come Forward

One of the most significant themes in these sexual assault cases is that law enforcement and prosecutors believe there may be more victims.

Both the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the LAPD have publicly encouraged additional survivors or anyone with information to contact detectives or LA Crime Stoppers. Media reports state that investigators “believe there could be more victims.”

Investigations have also raised concerns about potential victims outside California. Dr. Hajhosseini also practiced in New York, where he completed part of his burn surgery and plastic surgery training with New York institutions, including the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group and Nassau University Medical Center.

From our perspective as a survivor-focused firm, these reports underscore why other survivors and potential victims, whether in L.A., elsewhere in California, or in New York, may wish to:

  • Contact law enforcement or local authorities to make a report
  • Speak with an experienced attorney about their civil lawsuit options
  • Learn what evidence is needed to support a lawsuit they may already have (texts, messages, job recruitment emails, medical records, therapy notes, etc.)

If you believe you were sexually abused by a Beverly Hills doctor, such as Dr. Hajhosseini, or harmed in connection with job recruiting sites or other medical professionals, we want you to know that you don’t have to navigate the legal system alone.

Our sexual assault attorney team stands with survivors who are seeking justice, and we are here to help you understand your legal options in a private consultation while the legal process in these criminal and civil matters continues to unfold.

What Damages Can Victims of Sexual Assault Recover?

In doctor sexual assault lawsuits, financial compensation is about helping survivors regain stability and pursue justice. While nothing can undo the harm, a civil lawsuit can provide support for healing and accountability. In general, damages may fall into three main categories:

Economic damages cover measurable financial losses, including:

  • Medical expenses and medical attention
  • Therapy costs for ongoing mental health care
  • Lost wages and reduced earning capacity
  • Out-of-pocket costs related to treatment and recovery

Non-economic damages recognize the personal, emotional impact of being sexually abused, including:

  • Emotional distress, anxiety, and trauma
  • Pain and suffering
  • Loss of enjoyment of life

Punitive damages are available in cases involving intentional or reckless acts, such as alleged drugging with a controlled substance by a doctor. Courts may award punitive damages to punish misconduct and support systemic change.

What Laws Govern Sexual Assault Lawsuits in California?

In California sexual assault lawsuits, survivors have a clear legal pathway to hold an abuser civilly accountable, even if criminal charges are still pending or never filed.

Under California Civil Code § 1708.5, victims of non-consensual sexual contact, including sexual battery and other unwanted sexual acts, have the right to bring a civil lawsuit for damages such as emotional trauma, medical bills, and other losses caused by the abuse.

This statute applies in situations involving abuse by anyone, including doctors and other medical professionals, and it does not require a criminal conviction for a case to move forward in the civil court system.

At our firm, we use this law to pursue justice for survivors whose trust was violated by someone in a position of power. Whether abuse happened in a medical, professional, or private setting, the law gives victims the ability to seek compensation, recognition, and accountability through the civil legal process. We stand with survivors as they explore their options and take steps toward justice.

The sexual assault statute of limitations for adult survivors in California is governed by California Code of Civil Procedure § 340.16. Under this law, a person who was sexually abused at age 18 or older generally has 10 years from the date of the last act of abuse to file a civil lawsuit.

Alternatively, a survivor may file their claim within 3 years from the date they discovered, or reasonably should have discovered, that the injury or illness was caused by the sexual assault, whichever time period is later.

These expanded time limits recognize that many survivors need years to process trauma, seek support, and feel safe enough to come forward. Even if the abuse occurred in the past, you may still have the right to take legal action. We believe in your case, and we’re here to help you understand your timeline, protect your rights, and move forward at your pace.

How to Strengthen Your Dr. Babak Hajhosseini Sexual Assault Lawsuit

If you believe Dr. Babak Hajhosseini sexually assaulted you, what you do next matters. Taking thoughtful, protective steps can help preserve evidence, support your healing, and strengthen your civil claim as it moves through the legal process.

Seek Medical Attention Right Away

Your safety and health come first. We encourage you to seek medical help as soon as possible, even if you don’t see visible injuries. Medical records can document trauma, support your recovery, and become critical evidence in a lawsuit. This can include visits to a hospital, urgent care, or sexual assault nurse exam facility when injuries require focused care.

Contact Law Enforcement When You Are Ready

If you feel able, consider contacting local authorities to make a report. While a criminal case is separate from a civil case, a police report can preserve information and support ongoing investigations. Even if you are unsure, reporting creates an official record that may help protect other victims.

Preserve and Gather Evidence

Try to save anything connected to the incident, including:

  • Messages, emails, or calls
  • Pay records, work schedules, or overtime requests
  • Photos, videos, or screenshots
  • Clothing or personal items from that day (placed in a paper bag, not washed)
  • Notes about what you remember, including timeline and location

Write Down What You Remember

Trauma can affect memory. As soon as you feel able, write down everything you recall. even small details. including:

  • Whether you were in Los Angeles or New York
  • Whether you were pressured to drink alcohol or given an unknown substance
  • If there were conversations with other employees, supervisors, or medical professionals
  • Any mention of work overtime, private meetings, or isolation

Seek Emotional and Psychological Support

Sexual abuse can cause profound emotional distress. Speaking with a therapist, counselor, or victim advocate can support your healing and create a record of your psychological injuries. Therapy records may later support claims for therapy expenses and long-term care in your civil lawsuit.

National Sexual Assault Hotline and Other Resources

We also encourage survivors to connect with confidential support services:

  • National Sexual Assault Hotline (RAINN): 800-656-HOPE (4673)
  • Online chat: https://hotline.rainn.org
  • Local crisis centers and advocacy groups in L.A.
  • Hospital-based victim advocacy teams
  • Community support organizations for survivors of sexual abuse

These resources can help you feel less alone, develop a safety plan, and get immediate guidance, without having to make any legal decisions right away.
